The main function of
the Parochial Church Council (known
as the PCC), is to co-operate with the incumbent
in promoting in
the
parish the
whole
mission of the Church: pastoral; evangelistic; social;
ecumenical.
The PCC and the Rector decide jointly
how the parish money is to be used. Also the PCC
considers and discusses matters concerning the
Church of England or any other matters of religious
or public
interest.
Other functions include liaison and co-operation
with the Deanery and Diocesan Synods.
There is an Annual General Meeting held in March/April
at which members on the electoral roll are invited
to vote on the election of officers who are retiring
following their 3-year tenure.
