Revd. Jim Pye

Welcome to the web site of the Church of England
Parish of Knebworth and to the congregations of
St Mary's and St Martin's.

Our goal is “To make and mature disciples of Jesus”. We aim to do this by being “A WELL church”. This involves the areas of Administration; Worship; Evangelism; Learning; and Loving. These areas have come from the characteristics of the early church listed in Acts Chapter 2, verses 42-47

The Church of St Mary and St Thomas of Canterbury, normally known as 'St Mary's' is in the grounds of Knebworth Park. Its Sunday services, normally at 8 am Holy Communion or 6 p.m. Evensong, use the Book of Common Prayer.

The Church of St Martin's uses contemporary English for its services every Thursday at 10 am and on Sundays at 10 am and sometimes at 8 am. The 10 am Sunday service includes Junior Church and a group for teenagers, except for the “All Age” Service, which is once a month. The other services at St Martin's are Holy Communion. Preaching is important at all of the services.

We seek to welcome all ages into our church family and do all that we can to make everyone feel at home. You are welcome to visit us with a view to joining our church family. If you would like to talk with me please feel free to do so at church, telephone me on 01438 817396, or e-mail me at: The Rector
