CHRISTIAN AID:  We raised £50 at the Knebworth Fête, and Quiz Forms (price £1 on BIRDS) are now available from the usual suspects (Yvonne, Julie and Lesley).  The final total for our 9 walkers who went on the East Herts Walk was £1,319.50 (plus £250 from Gift Aid).  Our thanks to them and their sponsors.

HELP PLEASE:   Are there any people out there who could let me have some photos of themselves (or members of their family) participating in sporting events please? This could be running, cycling, athletics, etc. If you have competed at championship level, then even better, but any photos/newspaper articles will do. They are needed for the Family (All Age) Service on 27 July. I can receive them either electronically by email (to denise.weaver@wise.co.uk); on a USB memory stick, CD (not floppy disc), or old fashioned hard copy, i.e. real photo (which I can then scan). Anything loaned will be returned ASAP. If you would like me to pick anything up then please call me after 5.30pm most weekdays or anytime weekends. Any contributions - by 25 July at the latest - would be most gratefully received... come on don't hide your lights under a bushel! Many thanks.   Denise Weaver

GOOD EGGS ARE RACING TOWARDS SUMMER: With a sporty-themed Holiday Club, Champion's Team, on 5-7 August. For school years 0-6. You don't have to be sporty to come, though, or to help. If you have children interested in coming along, call Jo, also if you are able to help in anyway.  Better still come along to the Hatching meeting on Tuesday 8 July 8pm in Trinity.

YOUR URGENT ATTENTION PLEASE - SPONSORED BIKE'N HIKE FOR BEDS & HERTS HISTORIC CHURCHES TRUST:  A new organizer is now needed in our church for 2008.  All instructions, forms and posters are sent from the Trust.  If you might be interested in the position, please telephone me or Brian Webb 811795.  Half the money we raise returns to our own church each year, and we have also benefitted in the past by the award of Trust grants towards the repair of our buildings.  Last year the efforts of our cyclists and church sitters raised over £200 for the Church, but we do need to sign up to the event to benefit from it.      Pat Stone
